Brace yourselves – our once-a-year favorite, Nugget Nectar, has returned!
Excessively dry-hopped, our iconic Imperial Amber Ale celebrates the arrival of all those “fresh-off-the-bine” Nugget hops from our annual pilgrimage to the hop-growing hotbed of Yakima Valley, Washington.
It should come as no surprise that Nugget hops take center stage, adding dank notes of pine and grapefruit. Simcoe lends hints of ripe mango and creamsicle, and the assertive hop character is balanced with enough kilned malt to add body and a touch of sweetness.
Boasting a bold hop flavor and 7.5% ABV, this beautiful orange-tinted ale is sure to provide plenty of warmth on the dark, chilly winter nights ahead.
With the success of last year’s “21 Years of Nugget Nectar” throwback packaging, we decided to double down on the nostalgia and reimagine the label art for this beer that’s been a staple of our brewery for more than two decades.
“For Nugget’s label refresh, I wanted to capture the playfulness of the original label art but add some new artistic flair,” explains Rachel Conville, our in-house graphic designer. “The font is scaled larger and stacked to be eye-catching, and the familiar hop-squeezing hand is joined by a bright burst of orange that really jumps off the shelf.”
To commemorate the release of one of our favorite beers, we’re hosting a special Nugget Nectar release party at the brewery on Saturday, January 24. Join us and enjoy draft pours of Nugget Nectar alongside its amped-up counterpart, Double Nugget, and Nitro Nugget, an incredibly smooth and creamy version carbonated with nitrogen. We’ll also be tapping a special cask-conditioned Nugget Nectar firkin at 4 p.m.
The event will also feature fun activities including live screen-printing, musical entertainment, Camp Snap photos, swag giveaways, and a rotary phone lounge where you can leave us a message about your first experience with our beloved beer or other favorite Nugget Nectar memories.

“To this day, Nugget is still one of our most popular and sought-after beers,” says our co-founding brother and brewmaster John Trogner. “Along with Troegenator and Mad Elf, it’s one of the beers that helped put our brewery on the map.”
Right now, Nugget Nectar is available in Central PA as well as the greater Philadelphia region. Look for it everywhere our beer is sold over the next three weeks… then get ready to squeeze those hops for all they’re worth!
