For the fifth consecutive year, our Guided Production Tour has earned the top spot in the 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards conducted by USA Today, one of the most well-known media organizations in the country.
“Back in the early days, my brother Chris and I used to give brewery tours every Saturday,” says brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner. “It’s amazing to see how our tour has evolved over the years. Our tour guides are super passionate about our beer and love explaining why we do things the way we do at Tröegs.”
When you take a tour of our brewery, you’ll get a peek behind the curtain of our day-to-day operations and get to experience first-hand how we brew, package, and ship our beer across the Mid-Atlantic region.
After you enjoy your welcome beer, the tour begins in our Art of Tröegs Gallery for a fun, informative history lesson on Tröegs, which spans more than a quarter of a century.
Following in the footsteps of the Tröegs brewing team, the tour winds through the mill room, hop cooler and brewhouse deck as well as our fermentation cellars, packaging lines, and “Scratch Lab” R&D brewhouse.
Along the way, you’ll smell and taste raw ingredients used in a variety of our beers. And later, you’ll get to sample a few finished beers back in our intimate Barrel Room. You’ll even take home with an exclusive pint glass that you can’t get anywhere else!
“One of the highlights of our tour is getting to taste ‘green’ beer, which means it’s not fully fermented yet,” explains John Kinkead, Brewery Experience and Tour Supervisor. “Our fans love getting to taste a new beer before anyone else. It really sets our tour apart.”
