At Tröegs, adventure and curiosity have been our driving forces since day one. Both push our experimentation, innovation and the philosophy of asking “Why?” With that in mind, we’re excited to launch Tröegs Independent Spirits with two brewery-exclusive releases: Original Gin and Orange Amaro Liqueur.
Tröegs Original Gin offers a contemporary twist on an age-old classic. Juniper-forward to its core, we soften the dry, piney character with carefully selected botanicals to craft an elegant, layered flavor experience with a complex yet harmonious finish. Nuanced by design and always versatile, our gin provides a suitable base to your favorite martini recipe and will elevate your gin & tonic to a whole new level.
Tröegs Orange Amaro straddles the line between bracingly bitter and citrusy sweet. This multi-layered liqueur pours a lovely deep amber to present an expressive bouquet of bright citrus balanced with complex herbal aromatics and pithy orange peel. We recommend pouring over one large rock, but it can also shine as the base for a Negroni or Spritz.
But these world-class spirits didn’t just appear overnight. We spent months exploring flavors, ingredients and distilling techniques through trial and error.
It all starts with the right people and the right ingredients. Every batch begins with fresh botanicals, carefully selected ingredients and a passion for delicious flavors. Like our beers, our spirits go through a series of tasting trials before they’re packaged. These sessions bring our teams together to taste, talk and fine-tune every detail, from distillation processes to the botanicals that help shape each batch.
“Experimentation has always been a building block of Tröegs, and this project has our curiosity running wild,” says our co-founding brother John Trogner.
And to coincide with our spirits launch, we’re now serving delicious signature and classic cocktails at our new Cocktail Bar in the Tasting Room including a Blueberry Bramble, Botanicals Martini, Gilded Martini and more… all made with one or both of our house spirits!
