On the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 12, we learned that a co-worker at our Hershey Tasting Room had tested positive for Covid-19.
Because of this, we immediately launched our safety-first plan and called in our professional cleaning service to perform a deep clean of the Tasting Room, break room and bathrooms.
This move comes in addition to the cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch areas that our co-workers are performing every 30 minutes, as well as the four scheduled deep cleans per week that the cleaning service provides.
The co-worker was last at the brewery on Sunday, Aug. 9. In accordance with state protocols, the positive co-worker is self-quarantining for 14 days. All co-workers who came in close contact have been notified and asked to self-quarantine for 14 days as well. No customers were in close contact with the co-worker. Close contact is defined by the state of Pennsylvania as within 6 feet for longer than 15 minutes.
We take the safety of our co-workers and customers very seriously and promise to always put health and safety first, follow state and CDC guidelines, and be transparent with our community. We continue to maintain all cleaning protocols throughout the day and are confident the Tasting Room is safe for our customers and co-workers.
At our Hershey brewery, we continue to separate all departments and work spaces, including our production areas. The positive test has not affected the brewing and packaging of beer. We are performing temperature checks for all on-site co-workers and will continue to require masks and enforce social distancing.
Our Tasting Room is open, and as we continue to navigate Covid-19, we remind all guests that they must follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face covering when not seated. Additional details can be found at troegs.com/visit.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
