This beautifully balanced Double IPA started life in our small-batch Scratch Series as an experiment with Mosaic hops. After half a dozen test batches, our brewing team struck gold with a hop combination of Mosaic, Simcoe and Azacca.
“We loved our earliest trials with Mosaic,” says our co-founding brother and brewmaster John Trogner. “When we started dry-hopping with Mosaic and Simcoe together, we knew we were onto something. Fans would stop me in the street out in public and rave about the Scratch batches.”
In the end, this deep orange-hued beauty weighs in at 9% ABV and boasts notes of tropical fruit, pine sap, and honeysuckle… and its giant hop bill is supported by a backbone of pilsner and Vienna malts.
Over the years, it’s become one of our most sought-after beers and even rivals Mad Elf with the excitement it generates each year. So, it’s no wonder why Nimble Giant scores an ‘Outstanding’ on BeerAdvocate and consistently hits the top ten trending beers on Untappd upon its release!
